Pantry showing loops found for “late night chords”, with similar sounds open under the first result

You’ve bought the packs.
The sound you need is probably already on your drive.

Pantry is library-first. No store, no account, no subscription.
It works with the samples you already own and helps you (re-)discover them.

Find it.

Describe the sound. Pantry finds it, even when the filename doesn’t help.

Steer searches with AND, OR and NOT.

Drop in a sound and find similar ones in your library.

A reference track bounce, a loop from a friend, a sound you made last week.

Filter by type, instrument, key, scale and BPM. Turn on smart search for related results.

Supports WAV out of the box. Other formats require FFmpeg.

Open “similar sounds” on any sample and flip through related ones with the arrow keys.

Use it.

Build a kit from your own library: drums and melodic loops in one key and tempo.

Lock the sounds you like, swap the rest, then drag the whole kit into your DAW.

Small screen? Mouse wiggle hides Pantry so you can drag and drop easily.

Start a collection, and Pantry suggests sounds from your library that fit it.

Add what fits with one click, or skip what doesn’t and Pantry stops suggesting sounds like it.

Nine built-in themes, light and dark.

Also in Pantry.

Tags itself
Instrument, key, BPM, loop or one-shot, read from filenames, folders and the audio itself. Fix a tag and Pantry offers to fix similar sounds too.
Keeps up with new packs
Pantry watches your sample folders. New downloads are scanned moments after they land.
Hear it in your track’s key
Audition loops and one-shots matched to a tempo and key. Your files are never changed.
Sounds you’ve never played
“Unheard only” hides everything you’ve already auditioned, so forgotten packs get a turn.
Steer the results
Like or skip a sound and the rest of the list re-sorts. Sliders nudge results drier or roomier, cleaner or dirtier, softer or harder.
Finds duplicates
Spots exact and near-identical copies across packs, and shows how much space they take up.
Saved searches
Keep the searches you repeat, filters included, one click away.
Fully offline after activation
No account, no cloud, no store. Analysis runs on your computer, and the licence activates once and never phones home.

A note on AI.

Does Pantry use AI on my samples?

Pantry uses small machine-learning models to recognise instruments and find similar sounds. They run entirely on your computer, which is why your fans might spin up when Pantry is working. Your samples and any data derived from them stay on your computer.

Was Pantry developed using AI?

Yes, I use AI coding tools. But: I read bug reports myself, every analysis feature is measured against hand-labelled test sets before it goes live, and each release gets a full human test pass on my own sample library.
